On June 27, Mr. Liu Baosheng from Huizhi Lean gave a wonderful training on leadership "sense of purpose and cohesion" to the middle-level and above cadres of our company. The core idea is that an enterprise or a team must have a clear goal in doing everything, and any decision and specific thing must be carried out around the established goal. The goal should be very clear, let every member of the team know the goal, lead the team to concentrate, stimulate the enthusiasm and motivation of the members, gather the armpits into the fur, gather the sand into the tower, the so-called "everyone gathers firewood and the flame is high".

The positioning of goals is very important. Those that are very easy to achieve and achieved overnight are not called goals, but are called nodes; those that cannot be achieved and are difficult to reach are not called goals, but are called fantasy. A reasonable goal is one that requires a team effort and hard work to achieve. For goals: dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to be wrong, dare to reflect, dare to change. We must have the courage to set goals boldly. Once we have determined our goals, we can’t look ahead, we must be timid, we must move forward bravely, overcome all difficulties and strive to achieve our goals.

 

Goals are the result of leadership, and leadership is the cornerstone of goals. True leadership consists of two parts: one is self-cultivation and personal quality; the other is the ability to lead the team to charge into battle. The two complement each other and are indispensable.


One's own ability is the personal charm of the individual, which enables subordinates to follow him willingly and without any regrets, work hard together, and strive for a common goal. The ability to lead a team is to build the cohesion of the team, so that the team has a good chemical reaction and a strong centripetal force. We need to be a smart leader. I think the following should be done:

1. Reflect on yourself at all times, sum up experience successfully, and learn lessons from failure;

2. The assigned tasks should follow the PDCA cycle: plan, execute, check, adjust;

3. You can't do everything by yourself, otherwise you will be bound by trivial matters, and have no time to take into account the general direction, throwing watermelons to pick up sesame seeds;

4. Do a good job of coaching leadership, instructing and directing instead of fighting in person, unless absolutely necessary;

5. Don’t use people without suspicion, don’t use people who are suspicious, trust the team, understand the team, and support the team;

6. Don't be stingy with praise, because sometimes a word of praise from the leader will have unexpected effects;

7. Make good use of criticism and pay attention to the way and method of criticism;


I have always been more confident in my own abilities. After listening to Mr. Liu's course, I felt that there are some deficiencies in leadership, which are embodied in the following aspects:

1. Insufficient trust and understanding of the team, and sometimes insufficient support for the team

2. Insufficient affirmation of subordinates or teams, more criticism and less praise

3. The individual is very clear about the goals (annual goals and strategic goals of the company or factory), and the propaganda and indoctrination for the team is not strong enough


For the above deficiencies, I need to make the following adjustments:

1. Give the team full understanding and trust, and sum up the experience together when successful. If you fail, you can’t just ignore the indiscriminate, only blame. Sometimes you need to reflect with the team, learn lessons, and help the team regain confidence, so as to fight again.

2. Subordinates or teams should praise their achievements in a timely manner. A good word is warm in three winters, and a bad word is cold in June. Well-timed, appropriate compliments unleash the potential of an individual or team and are a multiplier of work enthusiasm.

3. Let everyone in the factory be clear about the factory's goals, and publicize the goals through various occasions and channels, so that the goals are deeply rooted in the minds of every employee. Everyone knows how far they are from the goal. Is our current level of effort enough?

In short, as leaders, we must continue to learn, enrich ourselves, and continuously improve our leadership, so as to be able to lead the team towards higher goals.
